The ACB is a French-speaking evangelical church in Basel. Although the African expression is dominant within it, the community wants to be multicultural.

 

French is the basic language in the exchanges but Sunday services are translated into German (or English if necessary). 

 

The Church encourages the development of activities in the different languages represented by its members. It is from this desire that “Espace Lingala” (meetings for Lingalaphones) was born.

 

French, "Swiss German" and "Hochdeutsch" are often mixed up in youth meetings.
