Historical
The ACB was created on September 11, 1994 under the initiative of Pastor Kabeya Okit'Omambo, a Congolese who arrived in Switzerland as an asylum seeker. initiative to start a "prayer group" in Basel with five people from the DRC and Angola. The first members were all asylum seekers in Switzerland. They have been in contact with the Gospel from Africa. In their precarious situation in the host country, they decide to meet around the Bible to encourage each other.
The theological foundations of the community will only be laid later in its development.
Pastors Matou and Guillaume Kawata Leba succeeded Pastor Kabeya in the leadership of the Church.
To date, Anaclet Mitendo Nkelenge has provided leadership since 2009.
